DEAMS Software Suite

Investigation of education systems of developing economies as well as those of developed economies, coupled with extensive experience obtained from working on national primary, secondary and vocational examinations in Jamaica has expanded the depth of knowledge with first hand appreciation for challenges faced by the Jamaican education system. This knowledge continually guides DPK’s endeavours and has served to strengthen the belief in the need for ensuring properly informed data driven decisions with the ultimate goal of ‘better education through better data’.

As a response to ensuring the fulfillment of our goal, DPK in 2006, developed the DEAMS Software Suite. Through the DEAMS software suite, DPK has electronically published the results of several national examinations in Jamaica over the past five years, moving on from the paper distribution used prior to that, and providing to the schools more information at their fingertips. The DEAMS suite comprises DEAMS processing engine, DEAMS manager and DPIS.  This suite of applications spans the range from large scale examination processing to district and school management, with an emphasis on assessment management.

DPK has developed the DEAMS software suite for the educational sector in developing economies.  The suite comprises a processing platform capable of processing national and regional examinations as well as assessment management and school management components that target assessors, test developers, examination administrators, school administrators, teachers, students and parents.
